The more social media became popular, the less godly it got. Believers need to be careful not to mistake a Blog Post for what I now nickname it: A Smog Post. I have lots and lots of saved friends (thank you God! amen!). The number of my beloved friends re-posting "feel good" but ungodly memes in the last few years has gone from very few to far too many. |
I know my friends, they are godly, scripture respecting, Jesus freaks.
So, what gives?
Those pics and memes are just indicative of the godless society in which we live. We don't know any better!
Let's take some examples:

The meme at the right seems obviously offensive to a believer. God's people generally don't post this kind of stuff. My laughing response to this was, "Yeah, better Jesus than me, 'cause I don't want the punishment I deserve. So, guess what, my beloved Grumpy Cat? I agree! Good! And thank you Jesus for your sacrifice! Amen." Score: vicious Jesus hater: zero Jesus loving Grumpy Cat: A+ |
The idea that positive thinking can change the course of your life is part of what is likely the largest godless idea system in America: Humanism. Most of the unsaved I meet don't realize they're Humanists, but they carry all the same godless, god of self ideas.
Think this is a new idea? Look at the post below and notice the Buddha in the background.

If mere "positive thoughts" or "good thinking" actually worked, addicts, serial killers and serial rapists could just "think themselves well". Cancer would cease to exist and we could all just think ourselves rich, thin, beautiful and happy! Magically! GODLESSLY. We could be our own gods.
I avoid posting these kinds of "feel happy" godless stuff. It leads people away from Yahweh and into worldly ideas.
A believing friend of mind posted the meme below. Do you recognize Stephen Hawking?

I edited the meme, to show the truth:
Not my words, but God's. Don't hate the messenger.
When I look at social media now days, I put on my critical thinking cap and ask The Spirit within me: is this what God would agree with?
I hope you've decided to do the same. Feel free to leave a comment below.
Blessings to you, Yahweh's Saints,
Rose Marie
